Chiropractic
Care |
|
| Dr. Nyman provides
chiropractic care to people of all ages. Treatment techniques
are adjusted to accommodate factors specific to you, based on the nature of
your problem, your age, your likes/dislikes and what's worked for you in the past.
There are four different types
of chiropractic care available to you.
-
Acute Injury Management
-
Rehabilitative Care
-
Maintenance Care
-
Supportive Care
|
|
1. Acute Injury Management
|
| This type of care
starts immediately after an injury has occurred. It is designed to
reduce your pain as quickly as possible, keep you sleeping comfortably,
and working if possible. It helps gets you out of a current crisis and back
to normal if possible. |
| |
| 2. Rehabilitative Care |
| This type of care follows after
acute injury management. It is also appropriate for long-standing or recurrent
problems. Rehabilitative, or
corrective care, is
intended to restore your health back to normal, or to the highest level
possible, following an injury. Repairing the problem, instead of just patching it, may take
a bit longer, but the results are more satisfying. |
| |
|
3. Maintenance Care
|
|
This
care program is intended to help you feel and function your best week
after week and month after month.
Recognizing that work, hobbies, chores, sports and stress impose
significant demands on our bodies, periodic "tune-ups" can keep
you feeling great and help prevent painful crises or relapses.
Maintenance Care session frequency varies depending on your body's needs.
The recommended frequency of care may range
from appointments every 2 weeks to every 8 weeks. |
| |
| 4. Supportive
Care |
| This type of care is
intended to assist individuals who's problems return constantly when
treatment stops. Occasionally, this is necessary following major
injuries, for degenerative conditions or for recurrent problems. |
| |

Chiropractic
Techniques
|
|
|
Some patients who have previously
experienced chiropractic care may be familiar with a particular style of
adjusting or chiropractic treatment . Often, this familiarity is also
a preference (i.e. "Let's stick with what seems to work for me.").
Dr. Nyman primarily uses a
technique called "Diversified" as it inherently incorporates the
time-tested best of many chiropractic techniques into one. Dr. Nyman also uses
a variety of other treatment techniques.
With respect to treatment
techniques, the most important point is that
Dr. Nyman will make every effort to accommodate the treatment style to suit your preferences.
He may also propose other styles that may be suitable to your needs.
If you have been treated with a
particular technique in the past and you would like to continue with this
treatment style, call our office at (519) 886-3191 or e-mail Dr.
Nyman at appointments@drnyman.com
to determine if he can accommodate your needs.

Nyman's treatments are thorough and incorporate many other important
